What’s the goal of
the toolkit?

ConnectED on the Journey toolkit is designed to help you get the best out of the online experience for eating disorders/distress. It’s designed with the support of users and providers and guided by their first hand experiences. ConnectedED is about enhancing support, including getting set for an online session, troubleshooting, and post-session self-care.

Testimonies of online support users

“To make it clear that it [online support] is for everyone who feels they might struggle.”

“It’s a lot more accessible. It [online appointment] takes a lot less out of the day and you’re not travelling and hanging about.”

“My local ED service had ‘live’ [online support sessions] most days where they would offer general support, meal ideas, chats about ED symptoms, psychoeducation, and stuff. These sessions can then be watched back any time, so they were there when I felt I needed motivation and support.”

What is rhed-c?

RHED-C is dedicated to understanding the impact of COVID-19 on the treatment of Eating Disorders (EDs). We work with partners and experts with lived experience to explore why EDs got worse during COVID-19; the benefits and challenges of online treatment; co-designing future support.
